| The Moonbake Story:
1991 Starts as a neighborhood bakery in Moonwalk, Las Pinas. Hence , the name MoonBake BreadHouse. 1994 From making different varieties of breads to specializing in the manufacture of Chocolitos - a special brand of chocolate crinkles, as well as fudgy brownies. Supplies to school canteens and sari-sari stores. 1997 Expands distribution of MoonBake Chocolate Crinkles to as far as Quezon to the south, and Bataan to the north. Incorporate to become Moonbake Inc. 1998 Moves to a new facility to accommodate expansion. Brisk sales of their bakery products continue. 1999 Moonbake begins participating in food shows and trades fairs. Becomes a member of PHILFOODEX. Diversifies product lines through DOST assistance. MoonDish is born. Laing is Lounge in the Asian Ethnic Food Festival. 2000 Introduction of MoonDish Laing continues in the National Food Trade Fair. Major supermarket chains & retail outlets are developed. It enjoys a particular niche in the supermarket. It begins to service the export market. 2001 Introductions Bicol Express in other subsequent trade fairs. Enjoys good ratings and brisk sales. Expands production facility to meet the demands. Builds new plant dedicated to thermally processed products. Export orders continue to rise. Moondish Laing in can wins in the First Luzon Invention Contest - Likha Award for Outstanding Creative Research. To date, there are seven variants of Laing and seven variants of Bicol Express. 2002 Introduces Kamansi and Puso ng Saging in other subsequent trade fairs and is nominated for the Golden Shell Rising Star Award Category. 2004 Incorporation of Moondish, February 2004 onwards Continuing with the basic philosophy of business and public service. |
